VOLUNTEER
VOLUNTEERING AT JSBC

Thank you for your interest in serving the homeless poor of Louisville. We could not do what we do without God and his people getting involved and volunteering their services. Thank You!

In serving the homeless, JSBC seeks to bring the whole Gospel to the whole person – impacting them physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. The volatile lifestyle of homelessness is a very confusing and difficult one. Factors such as lack of housing, emotional anguish, mental illness, fear of the unknown, lack of standard resources, despair, personal sin, and lack of quality paying jobs promotes this confusion and nurtures a sense of hopelessness.

Because of this confusion and hopelessness, it is important that the volunteers that partner with us be unified with us in our message of hope. We feel that God has given us a responsibility for caring for the homeless while they are here, and one way that we do that is to find out a little about those who wish to volunteer their services at JSBC.
