GATHERING PRAYER REQUESTS
One of the traditions of our volunteers is the practice of seeking prayer requests from the folks at JSBC. Visit with friends and strangers alike, offering in as non-threatening a way as possible to pray for whatever they ask you to pray for. Strangely enough, many of those people will share their lives with you on that basis. Of course, part of the reason you will go is to connect with people, in the hopes of developing ongoing ministry relationships. The other part is simply so that you can return home at the end of the evening and lift all those praises and petitions up together as you trust God with the lives of you’re your new acquaintances. This business of gathering prayer requests is at the very center of our ministry, and we hope it will come to be at the very center of yours. To that end, here are some tips:
• Begin by talking to others in groups of two or three.
• Spread out. Do not have more than one pair or trio working the same table/person/group at JSBC.
• Discretely jot down people’s names, distinguishing features, noticeable needs, and prayer requests,

so that you can follow up with them later on.
• Carry a small Bible, tucked away unless and until you need it.
