HOMELESSNESS
Over 32 million people in the US live in poverty. Every year that number is growing.
Each year, over 11,000 people in Louisville find themselves without a place to call home. These are the homeless.
The reasons are many:
• Lack of affordable housing
• Lack of living wage jobs
• Substance abuse and lack of needed services
• Mental illness and lack of needed services
• Domestic violence
• Poverty, caused by many factors
• Prison release and re-entry into society
• Lack of affordable healthcare
• Natural Disaster
• Personal and Societal Sin
In the end, we all need the Gospel to touch all of who we are – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. We all need hope that God is not going to leave us where we are.
Hope changes everything.
